In my Hotmail accounts under safety, I would like to change my password, but how do I see what my current password is?

Most online services store passwords in an encrypted, 1 way hash. When you log in, they employ the one way hash and compare it to the hash they've stored. They don't store the plain text password, and as it's a one way hash, they can't show it to you. This is a fantastic thing for internet security. Should you ever have a website that could disclose or email your current password, then they're failing to offer security for your information.
